The course is taught by: Hina Haq, Saad Shaheed & Daniele Valentini They will study and discuss the various emotions involved in the process of radicalization, resulting in violent extremism. Literature regarding the process of radicalization, in both group and individual contexts will be the foundation to which the theories of emotions and affectivity from the socio-psychological and philosophical perspectives will be integrated to analyze the propaganda materials of extremist groups. Participants should be ready to give critical comments on the weekly literature, actively engage in discussions during the seminar and give a presentation on one of the papers. Group presentations are possible, depending on the number of enrolled students.
