This course will be taught by Petra Fischer and Kristoffer Appel as a block course on November 28 and 29 of 2020. This seminar will give an overview of how neuroscience is used in clinical settings as well as in industry. We will start with a recap of neuroscientific tools and methods. We will then move on to the question, how these techniques can be applied in clinical and industrial environments (e.g. brain stimulation, optimization of visual presentations) and give some illustrative examples from our own experience in industry and clinical settings. We will also discuss, how such projects can be organized and will talk about the differences between scientific, industrial and clinical project work. Finally, we will share some career advice and have a Q&A session.
