Colloquium Ethics and Critique in the Digital Society

This colloquium covers advanced topics in the Ethics of AI, critical social theory of the digital society, privacy and data protection. We read recent publications in the field as well as classical texts, and debate presentations of ongoing projects. Each session will combine text-based work with extensive discussions in a 3-hour format. The colloquium is open to advanced Ph.D., MA and BA students specializing in the field, including but not limited to those who aim to write their BA/MA/Ph.D. thesis in the Ethics of AI research group. Prerequisites: This course requires advanced knowledge in the field of Ethics of AI. This is typically acquired through the "Introduction to the Ethics of AI" lecture and seminars offered by the members of Ethics of AI research group. Interested students need to be approved to the course after sending me an email introducing yourself and your experience in the field. The course is taught in a hybrid format.
